Energy amendment for pool heaters

Amendment on Swimming Pool Heaters
Effective April 16, 2013. 

 

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued a final rule amending the energy conservation standards for swimming pool heaters. The standards established in the final rule will be applied starting April 16, 2013 for residential swimming pool heaters. For gas-fired pool heaters, the equipment must have a minimum thermal efficiency of 82%.

The following heater part numbers will be obsolete on April 16, 2013 and will no longer be available for sale in the United States.
